I had a coworker once tell me that “there are coders and artists, and never the two shall meet.” He was a nice enough person, but this statement left me stewing for weeks. I was working at that time as a coder and going home at night and doing my art in my spare time.
Both coding and art draw from the same creative pool for me. I am enamored with the process of drawing and expressing the concepts and ideas from this creative pool. I explore; sometimes I am in an open field, other times I ‘m on a snowy mountaintop. I like going into detail, and then playing in the abstract.
I refuse to let an idea of what I should be limit the tools available to me. Left and right brain, the coder and the artist, meet here.
